Fire their OC and then switch back to your team to hire the OC. The CPU will auto generate a new OC. Online will be a bit more tricky. You need to have a second user join the franchise and fire the OC (cannot be someone who will be managing a team as they will have the same problem.). You can then hire that OC and let the CPU generate a new one.I have the same issue sometimes and I just sim through the season then you can hire a new one but it will probably do it again.
